Expedition two Volcanos - 2008

Day 1 Arrival of the Expeditionary in La Paz city.Transfer to Hotel. Dinner and presentation meeting.

Acclimation in the Condoriri Group to 40 km approx. of the La Paz city , an extraordinary place of the Oriental Andes of Bolivia, mixed picks of ice and rock of 5.200 to 5.648 m.s.n.m., ideal for acclimatization processes for their proximity to the city and their multiple possibilities of quick climb and resistance treks with an environment of lakes and valleys

Day 2Hrs: 8.00 breakfast, hrs:8.30 left toward of Tuni Condoriri Dams. hrs 10.30 trek toward the lake Chiar Khota, Base Field of Condoriri group , hrs 15.00 lunch in Base Field, late of rest. hrs. 20.00 dinner and camping site

Day 3 Hrs: 8.00 breakfast, hrs 9.00 approach to the glaciers of Condoriri group, we ascend to the step of the North Pick of the Condoriri 4.900 m, hrs 14.00 return to Base Field, hrs 15.00 lunch. hrs. 20.00 Dinner.

Day 4 Hrs: 8.00 breakfast, hrs 9.00 climb to the Austria pick of 5.220 m, hrs 12.30 summit and refreshment in the mountain to hrs: 13.00 return to Base Field, hrs 16.00 lunch. hrs. 20.00 Dinner.

Day 5 Hrs: 8.00 breakfast, hrs 9.00 climb to the Ilusionsita pick of 5.320 m, hrs 13.00 summit and refreshment in the mountain to hrs 14.00 return to Base Field, hrs 16.00 lunch, hrs. 20.00 Dinner.

Day 6 Hrs: 8.00 hrs breakfast 9.00 to 12.00 return of C. Base Represea Tuni Condorir, return and arrival to the La Paz city and transfer to hotel, to hrs 14.30. To hrs 15.00 lunch, late of rest, hrs 20.00 Dinner

Day 7 Hrs: 8.00 hrs breakfat, hrs 10.00 City tour in La Paz city Lunch and Dinner. To rest in the city

View acclimatión Condoriri

Day 8 5 hrs.

Hrs 9.00 breakfast in Hotel. Departure at hours 10:00 in private transport toward the population of Patacamaya, it visits to the "chullpares" of the culture Pacajes (1200 at 1438 D.C.) and continuation until the population of Sajama.( 5 hrs. aprox.) Lunch and dinner in Hostal.

 

Day 9

Hrs 8.30 Breakfast, Hrs 9.00 Transfer toward Field Bases from the Parinacota to Hrs 13:00 lunch, hrs.14.00 trek to High Field (2 Hrs). Dinner

 

Day 10 6 hrs. 1.30 hrs.

Hrs 3.00 Breakfast, hrs 3.30 climb to the snowy volcano Parinacota of 6.332 m.s.n.m. ( 6 hours aproxx) and a spectacular view of the Lake Chungará, refreshment and return to field base. If the conditions allow it we return hostelry of town of Sajama

 

Day 11 .

Hrs 9:00 Breakfast. Day of rest in the National Park Sajama, optional visits to the gueisers, bathrooms in thermal waters or surrounding lagoons. Lunch and dinner in hostal

 

Day 12 3 hrs.

Hrs 900 Breakfast, hrs 9.30, trek to Base Field ( 3 Hrs aprox) of the snowy Sajama, hrs 14.00 lunch, rest in the afternoon, hrs 19:00 dinner.

 

Day 13 5 hrs.

Hrs 9.00 Breakfast, hrs 9.30 trek and climb to the "High Field" to 5.700 m.s.n.m.( 5 hrs aprox.) work of installation of tends, Hrs 18.00 dinner

 

Day 14 6 hrs. 3 hrs.

Hrs 2.30 Breakfast , hrs 3.00 climb the Sajama ( 6 hrs aprox.), the snowy volcano of 6.548 m.s.n.m., the climbing includes penitents and glaciers with slopes. Leaving at first hours of this day, one can make summit before the half-day, what allows to be on the summit . A good while and to descend in the afternoon to Base Field, camping , it is possible and the conditions allow it we will return to the Hostal of the town of Sajama. Dinner

 

Day15 . .

Day of reserve for the climb to the Sajama and the Parinacota.It includes all the foods of the day in hotelery

 

Dia 16 5 hrs .

Hrs 9.00 Breakfast, hrs 10.00 Bathrooms in thermal waters, hrs 13.00 lunch and to hrs 14.00 Return to La Paz city. transfer to the respective Hotel, hrs 20.00 Dinner and end of the Expedition.
